Questions for Tony Cardenas

Class, we have (or are in the process of) inviting Los Angeles City Councilman Tony Cardenas as our official 7a Speaker for Career Day/Leadership Day 2006.

After you read up on what he does and what he stands for, use this space to ask Tony Cardenas an interesting question that you would like answered.

DO NOT ask questions that are simple or easy to answer. Before you post a question, research or read up on it first.

Stick to the focus of problems, opportunities and challenges for our neighborhood and our larger city.

Brochure Comments Post

In this space, write a few well-written, detailed sentences describing your time at St. Genevieve Elementary School. Be specific and include assignments, projects, teachers, memories, etc. What’s it like to be a student here at this school?

The chosen quotes will appear in a full-color glossy brochure during Catholic Schools Week.

Online Group Project

Our next project will be an online effort. Together, we will write a draft of the Book of Rules in the community of the novel The Giver.
We will all pitch in and submit one or two rules found (or implied) in the book.

In January, we will all make physical, hard-bound books from the rules.

Christmas Party Sign-Up Sheet

In this space, we will sign-up for the goodies we will bring for our Christmas Party on Tuesday, December 19th.

Remember to not spend alot of money, and whatever you decide to bring, make it for about 10 or 15 people.
